It could be very useful to be able to setup a JSON Schema for the response of the API endpoint. This way you can make sure that specific services are running as expected and output the expected values.

Hey there - since this was filed, we shipped API monitoring with assertions, which lets you check the response body, headers, and status code, including jsonpath expressions for reaching into nested JSON. That covers what most people on this thread were after: verifying that specific values in a response are what they should be, rather than a plain keyword match. So I’m closing this one as delivered.
What assertions don’t do is validate a whole payload against a schema in one go: required fields, types, nested structure, and failing when something changes that you didn’t think to write a check for. It was mentioned in the first comment and that’s a different feature, and I’ve opened a separate request for it here: https://uptimerobot.nolt.io/1656
If that’s the part you actually needed, please vote and comment there. Starting it fresh means the votes reflect what’s still missing rather than what we already built. Thanks for your feedback and contributions.
