Rather than using a password, can we have functionality to restrict status pages by IP addresses.
Ideally, there is a small UI in the status page where IP’s can be set. Should a user not be on the correct IP, then they can default to the password option then.
Note: I tried doing this in Cloudflare, but with the known Cloudflare issues with uptimerobot, it became too tricky to implement.
I would also like this. Be able to whitelist IP’s for the company so we can show status to our users but prompt for password if non-trusted IP’s try to access the site.
I will add my name on the list of customers that would like this change/feature added.
If we can isolate on IP address can we also make it so it doesn’t ever timeout? I would like to use this on a TV in the office but with it constantly timing out it is more hassle than it is worth at this time.
Agreed - you know how users are, they don’t want to make the extra effort of entering a password. If we could just whitelist our IP ranges to allow access, that would be best.
+1 also in the need of defining IP-based direct access (without Password).
Another simple “workaround” would be, if the Password could be passed through a URL-Parameter with the Status Page-link… but that seems not to be support atm.
