Group monitors (categories / tags)#35

It would be usefull to get uptime monitoring categories for monitors, where you could select monitors as categories.

This would be so useful for me being able to put servers into groups such as the Premium Servers, Budget ect

100% this would be extremely useful and one feature I could really use.

Instead of grouping monitors, creating a monitor with group of components (nodes, etc..) would be very useful and pro-worthy.

It would be really helpful to be able to set notifications on group resources. For instance, get a passive notification like a push if any of a group change status, but if the whole group is unavailable, then start ringing phones.

Setting notifications for a group/category would be really helpful.

We’ve released Monitor Grouping 🎉
You can now create groups, see their statuses directly on the dashboard, and even add whole groups to PSPs and maintenance windows. You can also choose to display groups on PSPs if needed.

This is our v1 release, and we’ll keep improving it over time.
If there’s any functionality you’d like to see added on top of what’s possible now, please feel free to open a new suggestion here - your feedback helps us shape the next iterations.

Tomas this was supposed to be done for status page as well where we will be able to group monitors on status page. Is that done ?

Groups are also available on Status Pages. You can enable them by going to Appearance → Layout and turning on “Show monitors under their groups.”
